Emergency Roof Repairs Cork — 24 Hour Roofers
Water coming in? Ring Sean directly. We make the roof safe first, document everything for your insurer, then carry out the permanent repair.
What to do first
Stay off the roof and keep everyone away from the area below it. Move furniture clear, put a basin under any active drip and, if water is anywhere near a light fitting or socket, switch that circuit off at the board. Then ring us.
If it is safe to do so from the ground, take photographs. Insurers value dated images taken before any temporary work is carried out, and it costs you nothing to have them.
Make safe, then repair properly
An emergency call-out has one job: stop water getting in and remove anything at risk of falling. That usually means temporary sheeting, securing loose tiles and clearing debris. We are honest that this is a holding measure, not the repair.
Once the roof is dry and safe we survey it in daylight, photograph the full extent of the damage and quote the permanent repair in writing. You are never pressured into signing for major work in the middle of a storm.
Insurance and storm damage claims
Storm damage is covered by most Irish home insurance policies, but claims are refused when damage cannot be evidenced or is put down to gradual wear. Our written report with dated photographs, a description of the storm event and an itemised repair schedule is exactly what a loss adjuster needs.
We have handled a great many Cork claims and will deal with your insurer or adjuster directly if that makes life easier.
